Lost Ludlow

A unique trove of early and rare photographs taken in and around Ludlow in Shropshire between the 1850s and the 1950s. The images are drawn from an extensive collection of photographic plates, negatives and prints, many previously unpublished. The photographs and photographers (several of whom were based in Ludlow) are described in detail, as are the people and places they photographed, their stories and histories.
